    Summer Holiday 2017 Daily Activities

    Monday, Wednesday & Saturday:

    10.30am (30min) Animal Magic (18 months – 4 years)

    Multi-sensory storytelling inspired by well-loved animal tales, for early years children.

    11.30am (30min) Explore (4+)

    Find out more about the Museum’s collections at this session. A short talk about a part of display followed by hands-on objects handling activities.

    2.00pm (15min) Morpurgo Reading Marathon (5+)

    Pick up a book reading calendar and collect stamps every time you come to this book reading challenge! Listen to different excerpts every day from Morpurgo’s popular stories.

    2.30-4.00pm Artsmarts (all ages, drop-in)

    Get creative with our drop-in arts and crafts sessions, and make a piece of art inspired by the Museum’s collection and displays to take home.

    Tuesday, Thursdays & Sunday:

    10.15-11.00am Little Hands Playtime (6 – 18 months, drop-in)

    Touch, explore and play at this session for little hands. A themed environment, linked to a part of the Museum display, invites babies and their carers for a tactile, open-ended playtime.

    11.15am-12.00 noon Play at the Museum (all ages, drop-in)

    Come and have a go at toys you can find on display at the Museum. A themed session highlighting key areas of the Collection, such as Retro Toys and Board Games.

    12.15pm (30mins) Telling Tales (all ages)

    2.00pm (15min) Morpurgo Reading Marathon (5+)

    SATURDAY & SUNDAY
