  • Listen, invent, write and perform stories in this playful family workshop

Join storyteller Olivia Armstrong to listen, invent, write and perform stories in this playful family workshop.

    Sessions are 10.30-12.00, 1.00-2.30

Cats have stalked stories for hundreds of years – each one with a secret to share and tale to tell. Listen to cat folktales from around the world that show the different sides to these most mysterious of creatures – from the heroic and magical, to the downright naughty, you will meet them all!

Visit the exhibition Cats on the Page and be inspired to draw your own wonder-cat. Discover new and exciting ways of story-making with your family and write your own cat-based ‘tail’. You’ll feel like the cat’s pyjamas!Storyteller Olivia Armstrong spins stories to all ages in museums, galleries and heritage sites across the UK.

FREE TO SEE. Drop in places are limited to 40 people per workshop and allocated on a first come, first served basis.
